Husch Blackwell Strategies

The HBS office is in an architecturally amazing old building with a fantastic view of the Nebraska State Capitol. Inside there were definitely some challenges in the space. It was a 90s office remodel with your typical oak trim, drop ceiling, fluorescent lighting, and a million doors. We were tasked with creating an inviting reception area that also had privacy from the adjacent conference room capable of hosting both politicians and business leaders alike. We turned the awkward and narrow layout into a cohesive and functional office, allowing each partner to showcase their own personality in their office.

Downtown Loft

This downtown redevelopment project converted a space that had been vacant for more than 50 years into a warm, modern, and incredibly functional family home. Featured in the Grand Island Independent’s┬áHeartland Living Magazine, this 2,600 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, upper-level home project brought outdoor space to downtown living with a new roof deck, a double sided fireplace, and incorporated coveted garage parking into the building.

Lincoln Foursquare

This 100+ year old home was brought back to life by NeighborWorks in 2010. Over the last 10 years, the homeowners have made several changes to the home. They finished the basement including adding a basement bathroom, transformed the old kitchen into a laundry room, expanded the main level bathroom from a powder room to a full bathroom, sanded and refinished the main floor hardwood floors, and converted the original office and closet into a large kitchen with walk-in pantry.

Mid Century Ranch

A mid century ranch home with a golf course view, the renovation of this home included a structural remodel by vaulting the ceiling, significant floor plan changes that added a master closet and a walk-in rain head shower, a brand new fireplace wall with italian tile, and significant energy efficiency improvements. The most stunning improvement was the addition of a 15′ collapsing glass door that brought the back patio and the golf course into the home.
